The Central Government, under clause (c) of section 199B of the Finance Act, 2016, amends clause 5 of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Deposit Scheme notified by S.O. 4061(E) dated 16 December 2016, as already amended by S.O. 204(E) dated 19 January 2017 and S.O. 365(E) dated 7 February 2017. The substituted clause 5 provides that the effective date of opening of the Bonds Ledger Account shall be the date of receipt of deposits by the Reserve Bank of India from the authorised banks, where the due tax, surcharge and penalty has been received till 31 March 2017, with a further proviso that the date of deposit shall in no case be extended beyond 30 April 2017.

िदनांक 19 जनवरी, 2017 की अिधसूचना सं. का.आ. 204(अ) मᱶ संशोधन और आगे िदनांक 07 फरवरी 2017, की अिधसूचना
सं. का.आ. 365(अ) मᱶ संशोधन के तहत अिधसूिचत ᮧधानमᮢी गरीब कल् ं याण जमा योजना के खड 5 म ं ᱶ िविन᳸दष् ट शतᲄ मᱶ संशोधन करती ह । ै2. मूल अिधसूचना के खड 5 क ं े स् थान पर िनम् निलिखत को ᮧितस् थािपत िकया जाएगा:
"5. जमा की ᮧभावी तारीख– बाड ल ं जर खात े को खोलन े की ᮧभावी तारीख अिधक े ृत बᱹकᲂ स भारतीय िरजव े बर् क ᳇ारा ᱹ

Amendment to Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Deposit Scheme, Notification No S.O. 4061 (E)
S.O. 1218(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of section 199B of the Finance Act, 2016 (28 of 2016) (hereinafter referred to as the Act), the Central Government hereby amends the conditions specified in clause 5 of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Deposit Scheme notified vide Notification No. S.O.4061 (E) dated December 16, 2016, amended vide Notification No. S.O. 204(E) dated January 19, 2017 and further amended vide Notification No. S.O. 365 (E) dated February 07, 2017.
2. In place of clause 5 of the original notification the following shall be substituted:
"5. Effective date of deposit — The effective date of opening of the Bonds Ledger Account shall be the date of receipt of deposits by the Reserve Bank of India from the authorized banks; wherein the due tax, surcharge and penalty has been received till 31st March, 2017;
Provided further that the date of deposit shall in no case be extended beyond 30th April, 2017."By Order of the President of India,
