Every notification the Income Tax Department publishes, 1961 to 2026 — 11233 of them. Each has its own page carrying the department’s own text, the provisions it names, and where those provisions now sit in the Income-tax Act, 2025.

A notification binds the department, not you and not a court. The Board issues a notification to its own officers. An assessee may hold the department to a notification that helps him; the department cannot hold an assessee to one that hurts him, and the Tribunal and the courts decide the law for themselves.
